Home Sweet April

It is going back home time. Booked a very cheap return flight ticket last year. During my way up to the airplane, i been fooled by the air stewardess..lol... .So here we are back at home. The next morning got to taste mom's cooking... Mini whole grain burger bread(been spread with butter and heated on a pan)+luncheon meat+eggs+tomatoes+cucumber+mayonnaise and sauce. Not forgetting chicken herbs soup.....mom's food is the BEST!!!! After a full morning breakfast, we leave for JB.

Reach Johor Bahru by noon. Manage to stop by my uncle's shop. Selling famous beef noodle and duck rice..many people come here for breakfast and lunch for the beef noodles for the past 20 years and they still visiting the shop. I do not know how good is the noodle, because i don't eat beef. For those who like beef noodles, you can give it a try. Just beside JB Kastam Building. Many customer come back for the noodles. I guess it is really really tasty. After uncle place, off i go into Singapore.

Next day, manage to get some time to visit Lexus new branch in JB. Saw the new CT200h online and is eager to see a real one. Manage to test drive. Power is ok, the front design is ok, just the back side not ok. Hybrid cars run on battery, so most of the design they need large space to place the battery at the back. That's why most of the hybrid car's rear look square or not so pretty. And one more thing, hybrid car's tyre rim are connected to the engines, so if you would like to change the rims you would spend a lot of money to reconfigure the new settings. So basically you can't/won't change the rims unless you have a lot of money to spare.

After that, i manage to drop by Malacca - Grandpa's house. Everytime i'm here. we are treated with a nice tasty dinner/lunch. This time we got to taste it again - dinner. :) Really missed the food. How to define a place? For me it is FOOD and the PEOPLE. In Malacca, Grandparents, hometown and nice food. After dropping by Malacca , off we back to home.

This trip back is quite a short trip...but manage to meet some nice and memorable moments. First of all is I saw my dream car (Audi R8), i can touch, sit in it but do not dare to test drive it. It is a perfect car for me...really really really nice...manage to take a picture with it. Thanks to Auntie for giving me the chance to have a look and touch at R8. I learned a lesson from Auntie that day. She told me "You like it, work hard for it and one day you will get it" Really grateful for the motivation Aunt. Thanks You!!!

2nd moment is while waiting for mom to leave from school, i brought Steph and youngest sister to Seremban Pasar ot have a bowl of Cendol by and Indian uncle. When i taste it, i felt happy, joyful. Makes me remember actually there are a lot of things or moment that are simple enough to make us happy. So for this moment i call it 简单的快乐。I believe a lot of us have this cendol here during their younger days. My parent came here for cendol when they are dating.

3rd moment is a weird one. When i stopped by at petrol station for a pee, i saw this toilets in the rest rooms. I wonder what is the pipe for ? To wash our hand or to wash our **** ? LOL ...haha..quite a creative solution. You can wash you hands and you can wash your ***** too....lol...

Since this is the last time we can watch a movie at a proper cinema(before Steph moving back to Sibu), we went for a movie and ordered the largest popcorn set we ever take. It is so big that, we promise not to take the largest pack ever. As when you finish the whole bucket, you might get diabetes...haha...but its a nice experience to able to get a large popcorn bucket.

After the few days back to west, we touch down back to Sibu again. It is election time!!!! Went to ceramah most of the night. To listen to support. The atmosphere is "hot". Quite an eventful campaign. Some win some lose, but the most important thing is , always think of the PEOPLE. That's all that matters. Do what you promise, and don't promise what you can't do.

There are a few special moments too in Sibu. First of it is, i got to taste/drink the most expensive chinese tea in Sibu!!! RM1 for a chinese tea...the next time i come to this coffee shop, i won't order the drinks here. Just the food. The most expensive barley drink in a coffec shop is also happens to be here. It's not a cafe, no air-cond ,so why charge to expensive ??

Secondly is the gift that i receive from my boss. Last year we made a deal that if i manage to surpass my colleague in a time frame, i get a free ticket to Cambodia. If i failed i will have to sponsor a ticket. I manage to surpass my colleague. But at last i chose not to get the cash refund for the ticket. Instead i choose to have a pen. Monblanc pen. When i got it, the feeling is so touching, grateful happy , joyful..not because of the brand..it is because of my hardwork i got to get a reward that equals to it. It is the price matters, it is the meaning that matters. Until today i haven't started to use it yet. I will start to use it once i have my own car. That's what i promise to myself. Many people says 一分钱一分货. Really this pen is different from the others :)

One weekend when i was on the way to the wharf in Kapit to take a boat ride to back to Sibu, i saw this scene. Makes me think, it is raining heavily outside, but the lady that sell snack and drink is still sitting in the usual spot with just an umbrella. Sometimes we do need to do what ever it takes to survive. In this scene, looks like the lady does not have an option to choose to leave. Many of us youngster nowadays are spoiled with too many choices up to an extent that sometimes we do not appreciate what we have. I glad i have this opportunity to saw this scene and reflect on myself. We have to be grateful with what we have and fight for what we want achieve.

Last but not least, it is the first time I shared at Great Eastern talks. Nervous and exciting as it is the first time speaking to a whole group of people that i do not know. Its a new experience and looking forward to improve on it.

That's all for April. It's a wonderful month and looking forward for the coming month. Which we will be paying a visit to Kuching to meet our wonderful colleagues there. Cheers!!!

March

For the whole month of March is in Sibu. Basically everything i do is almost related to work. Started of with colleagues birthday in March. Went to Premier hotel for a dinner celebration with them. If i'm not mistaken is has been a loooong time i had a dinner in a hotel. I still prefer the kopitiam style which we can get a nice fulfilling, cheap price, delicious dinner. So this time we decided to change the environment and do the simple celebration in hotel cafe.

Started of March quite smoothly, the ranking board in our office is up and for the first time, past month achievers are put up. One of my pictures were there. :) Its a big motivation every time i got to look myself on the board and promise to be better every month every time. For the first time in Great Advisor history, the white board that record our cases are full !! Congrates to all buddies for the hard work, and let's fight for NO1 !!!

While on a working trip to Sarikei, we stop by a shop which is located on the way from Sarikei to Kuching. It serves Prawn Noodle which a lot of people recommend. We ordered the noodles. Noodle is very nice, he soup is full of prawn taste, prawn is big too. But the price RM20 per bowl. I think i won't be going to eat it in very long time. haha.....i heard my friend said the soup of some bak kut teh, prawn noodles or laksa etc that taste so good, they have been keeping the soup stock for many many years...up to 20 year or more...adding new soup to the old soup..no wonder some of the food we eat is so full of tastes.

Ordered a kopi peng which taste the most not nice so far. Really hard to explain the taste, but it is really not nice. Its like the kopi bean or pownder has been use for to many time, and the add with condensed milk. It like a sugar water with a little bit of coffee taste. Next time i'll just ask for plain water..healthy and cheap.

Attended a talk on challenges and strategies of youth in enterpreneurship organize by Sibu Hakka association. Invited guest speaker is Mr Kung from West Malaysia. Got to learn some new things from him, on how SMEs can expand their business and what fund do government offer for us to apply.

Its durian season again, bought some back from Sarikei. After a hard day work, it is so nice to have some durian after dinner. :)

That's all for now in Sibu life in March !!!
